A lot of time has passed since my last post, and a lot of things have changed in the past year.
Jay and I got married in October, we are buying our first house *Love*, my stepkiddos are full on teenagers now. Thank goodness they are good kids. The shop has a new owner, I no longer work 6 days a week, I actually have weekends off! And now I am starting my blog back up. It has been neglected for far too long!
It's Springtime!
This is a picture of the Pink Dogwood across the street from the shop. For the last 5 years, this tree has unfailingly let me know that Spring has arrived. One day a drab, barren bundle of branches, the next, bloomy goodness. Gorgeous!
I have been basking in the balmy, happy sunshiny goodness the last few days. I have come to discover in the last couple of years that I absolutely abhor Winter. Although, next year may be a different story. Our house is so cozy, and we have a fireplace! Albeit, the chimney is closed off, but we have a Ventless Gel Fireplace set up. It gets nice and toasty, and it even crackles like a real fireplace.. cooooool!
I have a few random pictures to share today.
First up, a friend and I took a quick little shopping trip and I found some cute springtime fun stuff for the house :
Baskets, Bowls and a Freezy Pitcher, Oh My! I found the spiral placemats on sale at the market this past weekend. I was so ecstatic about them because I was planning on handmaking some, and now I don't have to fuss with that.
I found this darling little notebook and some matching pens. I was in desperate need of a new craft book.
Now a couple WIP (Work-In-Progress) Sneak Peeks :
My continous granny tablecloth! I still have a ways to go as our table is not exactly tiny, but ohhh, it's so happy!
Last but not least :
A blanket for me! Yummmm!
Right now I am stashbusting. I still have a good majority of that tub of yarn left.
I still have another WIP and a finished project to unveil, just need to get some pictures.
I ordered a stash of Vanna's Choice last weekend! I am sooooo excited.. but I am going to finish my current projects before I touch it. It's great incentive!
I suppose that is about it for now!
